More on Sans Of Time....
An entrenched value system of
humility and respect for the client, each other and
ultimately, the music, has created an unusual bond
of warmth and friendship amongst the members, which
clearly radiates from the stage during every
performance.
This band has found its niche in
the music fraternity by producing music, which is
both appealing and familiar to audiences from any
corner of the globe. They specialize in
crowd-diversity, which transcends racial, religious,
cultural and international boundaries. With Jazzy
roots and a dance band routine that features amongst
others, a Latino flair ranging from the fifties and
sixties to modern day, combined with haunting
ballads during early evening dinner, is guaranteed
to set the scene for ultimate listening pleasure.
The Name
The San people are not only
symbolic of the Cape region of South Africa; they
are also firmly entrenched within the genes of this
band. Unlike many other South African people that
tend to only align to their European heritage and
roots, this group strongly celebrates its belonging
and affinity to the Khoi San People of Southern
Africa. In addition to this, they present songs from
all ages and genres making their brand of music
timeless, hence the name, “Sans of Time”.
The Product
A vocal display of music backed
by guitar and sequenced music. The band has placed
itself into a cover band market and features music
from every possible genre to accommodate and appeal
to a wide variety of people. The individual
strengths of the performers within this outfit,
allows for extreme musical diversity in song choice
and repertoire.
Background and Influences
The core of this band has been
found on older values due to the fact that their
grandmothers reared both Neil, and Alrick. Neil and
Alrick met in 1995 when Alrick’s regular partner
decided to follow another brand of music. They met
at a gig on the quay of a harbour and proceeded to
perform within five minutes of meeting each other.
No rehearsal, no knowledge of each other, just plain
and simple chemistry between two people that loved
music. It is this very chemistry that has allowed
them to reach heights they never thought possible.
